UAE Shocks Bangladesh In Thrilling T20I Win

UAE pulls off a stunning last-ball win against Bangladesh in the 2nd T20I! Muhammad Waseem’s explosive innings and a team effort secured UAE’s first-ever T20I victory over Bangladesh.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) pulled off a remarkable two-wicket win against Bangladesh in the second T20I in Sharjah. Chasing a big total of 206, UAE held their nerves and reached the target with just one ball left, making this their first-ever win over Bangladesh in T20I cricket.

Waseem’s Fireworks Light Up Sharjah

UAE skipper Muhammad Waseem was the star of the match. He smashed 82 runs from just 42 balls, hitting 9 fours and 5 sixes. His powerful start gave UAE a strong base. He played shots all over the ground and didn’t let any bowler settle. From cover drives to massive sixes into the trees, Waseem was unstoppable.

He shared a big partnership with Zohaib Khan, who added 38 runs. Together, they built a century stand that put Bangladesh under pressure early.

A Team Effort in the Chase

After Waseem got out, UAE still needed 58 runs, and the game was wide open. But the lower order played smartly and bravely. From No. 7 onwards, every player hit at least one six, showing UAE’s strong intent. Dhruv Parashar stayed calm in the final overs, while Haider Ali hit the winning runs with a risky two-run dash.

There was even a mix-up in the final moments, but Bangladesh missed a golden chance to run Haider out. A late throw gave UAE just enough time to win.

Bangladesh’s Strong Start Goes in Vain

Bangladesh batted first and scored a big total of 205/5. Tanzid Hasan played a superb innings, scoring 59 runs from 33 balls with 3 sixes and 8 fours. He and Litton Das added 90 runs for the first wicket, giving the visitors their best start in years.

Towhid Hridoy added 45 runs, but UAE bowler Muhammad Jawadullah struck back, picking up 3 wickets for 45 runs and keeping things in control during the death overs.

Bangladesh Lose Control Despite Opportunities

Bangladesh had their moments. Shoriful Islam bowled well, taking the crucial wicket of Waseem. Nahid Rana, despite a rough start, bounced back with a wicket too. However, dropped catches, fielding errors, and missed chances cost Bangladesh dearly.

Three Bangladeshi players almost collided in one strange moment while trying to catch Saghir Khan. The ball dropped, and on the very next ball, Saghir hit a six. Little moments like these made a big difference in a close game.

Parashar and the Power Finish

Parashar’s cool head and ability to hit under pressure made a big impact. He hit a six and a four in the final two overs. With 17 runs needed from the last 7 balls, he even took advantage of five overthrows. The pressure shifted to Bangladesh, and they could not handle it.

In the last over, Tanzim Hasan Sakib bowled a no-ball full toss, which helped UAE get close. Even with a small mix-up between batters, Bangladesh didn’t act fast enough. That gave Haider Ali just enough time to run two and complete the chase.
