PSL 2025 To Resume Without Foreign Players Amid Scheduling Conflicts

PSL 2025 : The PCB will decide within 48 hours on the remaining eight PSL 2025 matches. With a ceasefire in place, Rawalpindi and Lahore may host the games. The league was paused due to tensions after a terror attack in Palalgam on May 7. Plans to move matches to the UAE fell through.

PCB to Decide PSL 2025 Fate Within 48 Hours

According to Geo News, the PCB is likely to decide within 48 hours on the remaining eight PSL matches. Rawalpindi and Lahore will host the games, with the final at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to take a major decision on the remaining eight Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 matches in the next 48 hours,” sources told Geo News on Sunday.

“Matches would be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore, whereas the final of the showpiece event would be played in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium,” the sources added.

Foreign Players Unavailable Due to International Commitments

The report also said that the rest of the PSL 2025 matches will likely be played without foreign players because they are busy with other international games.

The tournament is expected to continue with only local players. One big reason for finishing the season is money. There’s also a plan to bring all teams to Islamabad, with most of the remaining matches possibly being held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

PSL 2025 Matches Moved To Karachi Amid Rising Indo-Pak Tensions

“The PSL administration needed to complete its season due to financial matters,” the sources revealed.

It has to be noted that with only eight games left to play, the Pakistan Super League was already in the final phase when it got suspended. At that point, Quetta Gladiators had already qualified for the playoffs and topped the standings with six wins, two defeats, and one no-result from nine games.

Following Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings occupied the second place with 10 points from 8 games, with 5 wins and 3 defeats. Defending champions Islamabad United also had 10 points but had played one extra match, with five wins and four losses.

Lahore Qalandars were fourth with nine points from four wins, four losses, and one no-result. Peshawar Zalmi were fifth with eight points from four wins in nine games. Multan Sultans were out of the playoff race, with just one win and eight losses in nine matches.
