
The IPL 2025 game involving KKR vs PBKS on April 26 at Eden Gardens was curtailed by rain. KKR began their chase of PBKS’s total of 201 runs, and had reached 7/0 in the first over. However, the heavy winds and drizzle made play impossible, and we were forced into a 5-over-a-side match.

Under the DLS (Duckworth-Lewis-Stern) method, KKR’s adjusted target in the 5-over chase is 61 runs. This adaptation considers fewer overs and the disruption in play.
In the previous type of T20 match, PBKS scored 201/4 in their 20 overs. The openers, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, gave a good start with their 120-run partnership off 11.5 overs.
Prabhsimran had a brilliant innings scoring 83 runs off 49 balls, including six fours and six sixes. Priyansh Arya scored a quick 69 runs off 35 balls, including eight fours and four sixes. The middle order did not capitalize on the excellent start, as Glenn Maxwell and Marco Jansen were comparatively subdued, managing only 7 and 3 runs, respectively.
Captain Shreyas Iyer gave a late flourish with an unbeaten 25 runs from 16 deliveries, while Josh Inglis added 11 not out from 6 balls.

Vaibhav Arora was the top wicket-taker for KKR, taking two wickets. Varun Chakravarthy and Andre Russell each claimed one dismissal.
