IPL 2025: The MI vs SRH match in IPL 2025 was played on Thursday, April 17. It was the 33rd game of the tournament and took place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The home team, Mumbai Indians, won the match and registered their second straight victory of the season.
Sunrisers Hyderabad started well with Abhishek Sharma (40) and Travis Head (28) adding 59 runs for the first wicket. But after that, they struggled as runs were hard to come by and wickets kept falling. Heinrich Klaasen scored a quick 37, and Aniket Verma added an unbeaten 18 to help SRH finish at 162/5. Will Jacks took two wickets for Mumbai Indians.
While chasing 163, Rohit Sharma (26) gave Mumbai Indians a quick start with some big sixes. He and Ryan Rickelton (31) added 32 runs for the first wicket. Will Jacks (36) then kept the momentum going, building a 52-run stand with Suryakumar Yadav (26). Later, Hardik Pandya (21) and Tilak Varma (21*) finished the job. Despite losing a few late wickets, MI won by four wickets.
