Multan’s Blistering Start in the Powerplay

Multan Sultans made a strong beginning after being asked to bat first. The opening duo of Mohammad Rizwan and Shai Hope scored 55 runs off the first five overs, laying the foundation for a massive total. While Rizwan dominated with forceful stroke play, Hope rotated the strike effectively before getting out to Hasan Ali for a mere 8 runs.

Middle Overs Partnership Keeps Momentum Going

Following Hope’s dismissal, Usman Khan came in to join Rizwan and contributed 27 runs, before being out for 19 off 15 balls. Kamran Ghulam then took over the reins, joining Rizwan in a 63-run partnership. Ghulam’s attacking knock of 36 off 19 balls, comprising 5 fours and a six, helped keep the scoring rate high. He was caught by Abbas Afridi in the 15th over.

Final Onslaught: Rizwan and Bracewell Power Finish

The actual fireworks were in the deathovers when Rizwan joined hands with Michael Bracewell. The pair contributed an unbeaten 89-run partnership in 32 balls, taking Multan Sultans to a massive 234/3. Bracewell scored a scorching 44 off only 17 balls, including 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Karachi Kings Bowlers Struggle

Karachi’s bowling attack failed to contain the Multan onslaught. While Hasan Ali, Abbas Afridi, and Khushdil Shah managed to take a wicket each, none of the bowlers could stem the run flow. The combination of Rizwan’s calm and Bracewell’s brute power left Karachi Kings reeling.

James Wince’s Heroics Steal the Spotlight

James Vince stole the win from the Multan Sultans with his 101-run knock following a good start with Tim Siefert contributing 32 runs and Khushdil Shah in the middle overs with a contribution of 60 runs building a solid partnership with James and leading the team to victory by 4 wickets.
