Chasing 197, CSK kept losing wickets regularly. When Shivam Dube got out in the 13th over, many expected Dhoni to bat next. However, R Ashwin came in to join Ravindra Jadeja instead. By the time Dhoni came to bat in the 16th over, the match was almost out of CSK’s reach.

The former India captain remained not out with 30 runs from 16 balls, but it did not help CSK avoid defeat. Fans were unhappy that Dhoni came out to bat so late and shared their frustration on social media.

Chasing 197, CSK managed 146 for 8 in 20 overs. Rachin Ravindra top-scored with 41, while MS Dhoni remained unbeaten on 30 off 16 balls.

For RCB, Josh Hazlewood (3/21), Yash Dayal (2/18), and Liam Livingstone (2/28) took key wickets.

Earlier, RCB posted 196 for 7, led by Rajat Patidar’s 51. Phil Salt (32), Virat Kohli (31), and Tim David (22*) also contributed.

For CSK, Noor Ahmad (3/36) was the standout bowler, with Pathirana, Ashwin, and Khaleel Ahmed taking a wicket each.
