SRH vs LSG, IPL 2025: The seventh match of IPL 2025 between SRH and LSG was played on Thursday, March 27, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Rishabh Pant’s team won their first game by 5 wickets.
Asked to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t start well as Shardul Thakur dismissed Abhishek Sharma (6) and Ishan Kishan early during the powerplay. At 15 for 2, Travis Head (47) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (32) steadied the innings with a 61-run partnership. However, Lucknow Super Giants bowlers kept taking wickets regularly. Heinrich Klaasen (26) and Aniket Verma (36) also contributed with decent scores.

Captain Pat Cummins (18 off 4) hit some big shots towards the end, helping SRH reach 190/9. Shardul Thakur was the standout bowler for Lucknow with four wickets.

In reply, Aiden Markram was dismissed early for Lucknow. However, Nicholas Pooran (70) played a brilliant knock while Mitchell Marsh (52) supported him well. Together, they added 116 runs for the second wicket.
Ayush Badoni (6) and Rishabh Pant (15) couldn’t make much impact, but Abdul Samad (22*) guided Lucknow to victory, securing their first win of the season.
