With a terrible start of getting the hitman Rohit Sharma in the first over at duck, MI had a terrible start. Khallel Ahmed dismissed the openers in his initial overs and Ashwin took care of the later-order batman. Surya and Tilak made 50 runs partnership for the 4th wicket in 34 balls where Ms Dhoni’s quick 0.12 sec lightning fast stumping got skipper Surya out at 29.
Soon Noor’s spin magic ruled the MI batters Tilak, Robin Minz, and Naman Dhir, Deepak Chahar came out to rescue the sinking ship of the team with his 28 runs knock, and MI was able to put a respectable total on the board.

Despite the early setbacks, Deepak Chahar provided a late cameo with a quickfire 28 runs off 15 balls. However, his effort wasn’t enough to steer MI to a challenging total.

CSK’s steady batting performance
CSK lost one of the openers Rahul Tripathi early though the skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad came in to bat at no. 3 and smashed a quick half-century in 22 balls. Rachin and Ruturaj built a good partnership of more than 50 runs when Ruturaj got caught on long-on by a slow left-arm chinaman Vignesh Puthur.
Rachin maintained the flow of runs through his innings from one end till the end from his side while Vignesh took three batsmen out with his orthodoxical leg-spin and googly deliveries. In the remaining 3 overs where CSK needed 21 runs, Rachin smashed 2 sixes against the shining chinaman of MI Vignesh and settled the score to an easy victory along with completing his half-century.
Jadeja contributed 17 runs by his end but got run out due to some misunderstanding in the middle of the pitch. Dhoni came into bat and played 2 dot balls. Rachin smashed a six in the last over where 4 runs were needed and CSK grabbed an easy win at their home.
