
Virat Kohli once again proved why he’s called “King Kohli” by showing his true sportsmanship in the high-stakes match of Ind vs Pak on 23 February 2025. During the intense encounter in Dubai, Kohli showcased several heartwarming gestures amidst the two nation’s rivalry.
Virat Kohli was seen typing Naseem Shah’s shoelaces during the 46th over when it got undone while running. He spotted it and immediately went to help the batter by trying the lace, after which both the players patted each other and returned to their position to continue their rivalry.
This was not the only kind gesture King Kohli made during the Ind vs Pak match on Sunday. He was also seen hugging Babar Azam ahead of the match setting a positive tone for the game despite the intense competition.

Additionally, he appreciated Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed for his impressive bowling spell after he delivered a smooth delivery to dismiss Shubhman Gill.
Kohli also played a significant role in India’s victory by six wickets as he scored his 51st ODI century during the match. He also became the fastest player to reach 14,000 runs in ODI cricket and surpassed a previous record for most catches by an Indian fielder in ODI held by Mohammad Azharuddin.

In the match, Kohli scored a total of 100 runs on 111 balls and helped his team chase down Pakistan’s total score of 241 runs. Pakistan decided to bat first and scored 241 in 49.4 overs after being bowled out. Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets for India, restricting Pak’s late surge.

Hardik Pandya also took two wickets and helped break key partnerships of the opponent team. This win placed India at the top of Group A with four points, which might secure them a spot in the semi-finals.
