Harry Brook scored the highest 317 runs for England and Joe Root played a great role in his support. Root played an innings of 262 runs. With the brilliant innings of Root and Brook, England created a record in Tests and set a flurry of records.

Brook is the first batsman to score a triple century for England in 34 years in PAK vs ENG

With this, Brook has achieved a special feat. In 34 years, he has become the first batsman to score a triple century for England in this format. Brook became the highest run scorer for England against Pakistan. Earlier this feat was achieved by Dennis Compton in 1954, who played an innings of 278 runs at Trent Bridge. At the same time, after 34 years a batsman has scored a triple century in Tests for England. Before Brook, this feat was achieved by former England batsman Graham Booch. He scored 333 runs against India in 1990.
