Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto is on cloud nine as his team Bangladesh created history by defeating the Pakistan cricket team in the just-concluded two-match Test series. This win by Bangladesh against Pakistan will probably go down as the biggest moment in the history of Bangladesh cricket.

From giving a tough fight to the mighty Pakistani bowlers to not giving up in adverse situations, the Bangladesh cricket team was outstanding throughout the tournament. Bangladesh outplayed the Pakistan cricket team in every aspect of the game.

Chasing a total of 274 runs, Bangladesh was 26/6 at one point of time in the second Test match. But the way Bangladesh players made a comeback and reduced the deficit to just 12 runs was incredible.
Pakistan was bowled out for 172 runs in the second innings by Bangladesh, who also completed a successful chase.
Earlier the Bangladeshi Tigers defeated Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first Test match.
Najmul Hossain Shanto Copies Rohit Sharma After Historic Series Win vs Pakistan
Meanwhile, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto copied Indian captain Rohit Sharma after winning the Test series against Pakistan, which was a historic moment. Najmul Hossain Shanto took to his social media and shared a picture of himself where he could be seen sleeping with the Test series trophy by his side. This was similar to what Rohit Sharma did after winning the T20 World Cup 2024.

Najmul Hossain Shanto Praised His Bowlers
After the match, Najmul Hossain Shanto expressed his happiness in winning the historic series and claimed that the belief in the dressing room was different this time. Najmul Hossain Shanto also said the win will bring smiles back to the faces of Bangladesh people who are struggling due to the civil unrest in the country. He said:
“The belief in the dressing room is very different this time,” Shanto said. “We were nervous (at 26-6) but the way Litton and Miraz batted … we believed that those guys will take us to a good position.”
Praising the performance and work ethic of young fast bowlers Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana, who shared nine wickets in the second innings, Shanto said:
“We read the conditions very well,” Shanto said. “The bowlers did their job … and just tried to bowl in the channel for a long time, not like one or two overs. The bowlers did a lot of hard work and that’s why we got the result.”
