Gus Atkinson
Gus Atkinson from England debuted in the Test Series between England and the West Indies in July, when James Anderson played the last game of his career. Atkinson commenced his career with the farewell of the legend. Taking all the experiences and blessings from the senior players, he delivered an excellent performance with impeccable figures of 12 wickets in the first match, and later, after continuing the same rhythm in later matches of the series, he achieved the player of the series award.

Charlie Cassell, the Scotland pacer, made a historic debut against Oman in an ODI series in Dundee, where he registered the best figures for a bowler at the debut of 7-21. He broke Kagiso Rabada’s record for the best bowling figures on debut. Although he ended up wicketless later in the contest and is now playing for Somerset in the England Domestic One Day Cup.
All-rounder performance
Washington Sundar
Washington Sundar, an Indian all-rounder who gave a clinical performance in July in a T20I series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, is still playing in the ODI squad of India against Sri Lanka and delivering great figures.
After Ravindra Jadeja’s retirement, Washington got a great chance in the playing eleven to take the place of an all-rounder spinner batsman, which gives the team depth and greater options for both sides. He won the Player of the Series award in the Zimbabwe tour of India for taking 4 wickets in an innings and, apart from that, delivering constant great performances from both bat and ball.
