The Indian men’s cricket team are through to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024. They will be facing South Africa at Providence Stadium in Guyana for the knock-out match.
Team India has remained unbeaten in the tournament so far winning all their six matches. The team has performed as a unit to produce a good show.

Rohit Sharma
Indian opener Rohit Sharma’s blistering knock of 92 of 41 has put all the criticism to rest. Sharma produced the knock against one of the fiercest opponents Australia to reach the semi-finals.
Sharma has scored 191 runs from six innings that included one more half- century against Ireland in the group match.
The Indian skipper also displayed his captaincy abilities by becoming the Indian captain to win the most number of matches in a single edition of the T20 World Cup.

Rishabh Pant
The Indian wicket-keeper batsman returned to the world stage after over one and a half years of recuperating from a life-threatening injury. Pant played some memorable knocks at the initial stages of the tournament. His 36 off 26 balls against Ireland in the opener and a quick-fire 42 off 21 deliveries against Pakistan help India in their victories.
In the match against Afghanistan, Pant made the record for most dismissals by catch in a single edition of the T20 World Cup. He has taken 10 catches surpassing AB de Villiers (South Africa), Adam Gilchrist (Australia), and Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka), each with nine dismissals.
Surya Kumar Yadav
Surya Kumar Yadav has proved his worth when it mattered the most. The batter has smashed 149 runs from six innings in the T20 World Cup 2024. He scored two back-to-back half centuries, one each against the USA and Afghanistan.
Arshdeep Singh
Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh is the leading wicket taker for India. He has taken 15 scalps in six matches at an average of 11.86 and economy rate of 7.41 runs per over.
The 25-year-old has impressed everyone with his ability to bowl at the death overs. He has been a great complement to fellow pacer Jasprit Bumrah.

Jasprit Bumrah
Bumrah, the class bowler, has taken 11 wickets in six games of the tournament. He has conceded just 4.08 runs per over which is extremely rare in the shortest format of the game.
The bowling genius had conceded only four boundaries in the first five matches of the tournament.
