Then, a short while later, he was selected back into the Mumbai team to play Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy semifinal, but he took himself out of the match due to an ankle ache.

Jaiswal, who was signed by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for a whopping Rs 18 crore, has been struggling at the beginning of IPL 2025. The 23-year-old has scored only 34 runs in three innings, yet to get into form:

– Match 1 vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): Out for one by Simarjeet Singh.

– Match 2 vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR): Started well but was caught out for 29 off 24 balls by Moeen Ali.

– Match 3 vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK): Scored a mere 4 runs before getting out to Khaleel Ahmed.

With Jaiswal’s non-performance in terms of runs being a worry, RR will be looking for a change in their next match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on April 9.
