WPL 2025: Full list of award winners and prize money details
The Mumbai Indians women’s team once again proved their dominance by defeating the Delhi Capitals women’s team to win the WPL 2025 final. In the final match, the Delhi team failed to reach their target, due to which their hopes of winning the trophy once again remained unfulfilled.
This match is reminiscent of last year’s final, in which the Delhi Capitals women’s team again had to face defeat. However, this time the difference in the match was only 8 runs, due to which the audience witnessed a thrilling match.

WPL 2025: Mumbai Indians Women’s second WPL win
The final match of WPL 2025 was played on Saturday between Mumbai Indians Women’s Team (MI-W) and Delhi Capitals Women’s Team (DC-W). In the match, MI-W defeated DC-W by 8 runs to win the WPL title for the second time. This is the MI franchise’s second WPL title and 11th global title overall.
Delhi Capitals women’s team captain Meg Lanning won the toss and asked Mumbai Indians women’s team to bat first. Mumbai had a bad start and they lost both their openers for just 14 runs. But after this, captain Harmanpreet Kaur and all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt (30 runs off 28 balls) handled the innings and made a partnership of 87 runs.
Harmanpreet Kaur played a captaincy innings and scored 66 runs in 44 balls. Mumbai Indians lost wickets quickly in their final overs, but still managed to put up a challenging score of 149/7 in 20 overs.
Delhi Capitals women’s team’s struggle
Delhi’s start was also not very good and they lost both their openers within three overs. After this, Jemimah Rodrigues (30 runs off 21 balls) and Marizanne Kapp (40 runs off 26 balls) tried to handle the team, but their dismissal at a crucial time put the team under pressure. In the end, Niki Prasad (25 runs off 23 balls) hit two fours, but her efforts were insufficient and Delhi Capitals women’s team was reduced to a score of 141/9.
