Women’s Asia Cup 2024 Final: Defending champions India will be looking forward to winning their eighth title as they are all set to take on Sri Lanka in the final of the ongoing Asia Cup 2024 on Sunday. The Women in Blue will be trying their best to translate their overwhelming dominance in the ongoing tournament to a record-extending feat.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side have given their best in the ongoing tournament as they hammered Pakistan by seven wickets, which was followed by stunning wins over UAE (78 runs), Nepal (82 runs), and Bangladesh (10 wickets).
Openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma have fared well at the top, scoring more than 100 runs with a healthy strike rate of over 140, giving a solid start to the team at the top. On the other hand, the bowlers, especially Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh have impressed one and all with their thrilling performances. Deepti is the leading wicket-taker of the tournament, having claimed nine wickets and Renuka is the third on the chart with seven wickets. But their economy rate across four matches has been brilliant – 4.37 and 4.31 respectively.
