With Excitement and Anxiety – Team India Departs for Australia for the T20 WC

India left early on October 6 for Australia to compete in the T20 World Cup

On October 6, in the wee hours of the morning, Team India, captained by Rohit Sharma, traveled to Australia to compete in the T20 World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah, the best fast bowler for his team, was forced to withdraw from the prestigious competition due to a back ailment, thus a 14-member Indian team took a plane to Australia. In the next few days, his successor will be revealed. All members of Team India, including the team management, posed for a group shot before leaving for Australia, according to a tweet from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Along with a selfie of himself and colleagues Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal, former India captain Virat Kohli also posted the photo. Going to Australia. Time will be exciting. @HarshalPatel23 @yuzi chahal,” wrote Kohli.

Suryakumar Yadav, the standout batsman for India, shared a photo on his official Instagram account with wicketkeepers Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik as well as captain Rohit Sharma. Yadav has recently put on some outstanding performances for the team in the shortest format of the game.

Prior to the World Cup, which starts on October 22, Team India recently defeated South Africa 2-1 in a three-match T20I series. This was their final bilateral participation in the shortest format. A day later, in Melbourne, India will face their bitter rivals Pakistan in the tournament’s opening match.

India had already been dealt two significant blows prior to the competition when all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah were ruled out due to injuries. Axar Patel filled in for Jadeja in his absence and delivered reliable performances, but there are still rumours about who will take Bumrah’s place in the team. According to rumours, the 28-year-old pacer will likely be replaced by Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Deepak Chahar.

On October 17 and 19, respectively, Team India will compete in two ICC warm-up matches against Australia and New Zealand in addition to two practice games against Western Australia.
