A thrilling second day of the WI vs AUS Test match at Sabina Park saw 15 wickets tumble, with Australia taking a small lead by stumps. After a determined fightback by West Indies pacers, the visitors finished their second innings on 99/6, with four wickets remaining and a 181-run lead.
West Indies Collapses After Promising Start

Resuming at 16/1, chasing Australia’s first-innings score of 225, West Indies began cautiously. However, Josh Hazlewood drew first blood by trapping Brandon King lbw, with DRS upholding the on-field decision.
Even when Scott Boland had trouble with no-balls and some early missed opportunities by wicketkeeper Alex Carey, the Australians maintained the pressure. Roston Chase provided resistance early but was caught chasing a wide ball off Pat Cummins in the slips.

At 73/3 at Lunch, the hosts appeared solid. The post-lunch session, however, produced a collapse. John Campbell was lbw, shoulder-arms, while Mikyle Louis and Shai Hope were bowled. A mix-up resulted in Justin Greaves’ run-out, and the lower order collapsed soon as West Indies were bowled out for 143, losing an 82-run lead.
Alzarri Joseph Strikes Back in Australia’s Second Innings

When Australia was looking to establish a dominant position, West Indies’ bowlers hit back with plenty of force. In the second over, Sam Konstas was edged behind to gully for a duck. Usman Khawaja was bowled for 14, before Alzarri Joseph introduced a blazing spell, troubling the top and middle order of Australia.
Steve Smith and Beau Webster both lost their stumps, and Travis Head got caught at second slip. Alzarri struck twice again in the 21st over, taking out Webster and Alex Carey in successive deliveries, leaving Australia at 99/6.
Green and Cummins Steady the Ship Late in the Day
Amid the carnage, Cameron Green held firm, not getting out on 42. Although he did experience some nervous moments while making his way between wickets, he maintained his cool. Captain Pat Cummins arrived alongside him, and the duo ensured no more harm in the last nine overs of the day.
