Watch: Skipper David Warner Arrives In Delhi Capitals’ Camp In ‘Pushpa’ Style Ahead IPL 2023

In the absence of injured Rishabh Pant, the destructive Australian opener will skipper Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023, looking for his second title as a captain of a side in the competition.

David Warner, the Australian opener who will lead the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023, arrived at the camp on Friday (March 24). His entrance into the team hotel was similarly magnificent. The Delhi Capitals social media team shared a video across all platforms of Warner being greeted at the team hotel, with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa theme song playing in the background. People who know Warner are aware of his enthusiasm for the picture. He has shared a series of videos on Instagram in which he imitates Allu and dances to Pushpa tunes.

Take a look at Warner’s stylish entry below:

Warner even tried out some hindi words to inspire his side. He said, “Delhi, Main aa gaya hoon. Training to banti hai (I have arrived, Delhi. It is time to train).”

With Pant still recuperating from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident, Warner was designated captain. He is not new to the position. The 36-year-old earned an IPL championship with Sunrisers Hyderabad. It happened in 2016. Warner joined DC last year for Rs 6.25 crore after parting ways with SRH owing to serious difficulties. He appeared in 12 IPL 2022 matches and scored 432 runs with an average of 48 and a strike rate of 150.52. This year’s difficulty for DC has been heightened by the absence of Pant, a powerful middle-order hitter.

Prithvi Shaw, Sarfaraz Khan, Axar Patel, and Warner will need to be at their best to guarantee DC is the first to reach the playoffs.

In some ways, DC are fortunate that an experienced IPL captain and hitter like Warner was ready to take over as captain in the absence of their regular skipper. Warner is an outstanding leader who wants to win another title as captain before retiring from all sports.
