Prior to their match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Sunday, Mumbai Indians (MI) and their captain, Rohit Sharma, celebrated Rohit’s upcoming 36th birthday. By planning a pre-birthday celebration for their skipper in Mumbai, the team members and support staff made the occasion even more special. Pictures of the celebration, which include the wife of MI opener Ritika Sajdeh, teammates Tim David and Riley Meredith, and MI owner Akash Ambani, are currently going viral. Ritika dazzled in a green one-piece, and all the celebrities looked stylish in their laid-back party attire, with Rohit choosing a black shirt.

After Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma is one of the cricketers in the current Indian team with the most fans. Even the supporters are going above and above to throw a spectacular birthday party for Rohit. The MI captain is being cutout in Hyderabad at a height of 60 feet, which is the highest ever for a cricketer. Others have decorated the area with garlands and had a mini Puja to honor Rohit on his special day.
Despite the ongoing fan rivalry between the two legendary cricketers, Kohli fans are also displaying a lot of love and respect for the Indian team captain on the occasion of Rohit’s birthday. Ten years have passed since Rohit Sharma succeeded Ricky Ponting as MI captain. Rohit turned the IPL 2013 season around for MI by taking home the first IPL trophy after a difficult start. Since then, MI has added four more championships, making them the most successful team in IPL history. After MS Dhoni, who has a 58%-win percentage as the captain of CSK, Rohit has the second-best win percentage as the captain of MI.
