As India contested against Hong Kong, Avesh Khan was included into the playing 11 of the team but he again slammed by the Indian fans due to his poor consistent bowling which is not even providing crucial breakthrough to the side or not proving as an economical one. On Wednesday India and Hong Kong played against each other in Asia Cup 2022 where India beat Hong Kong by a margin of 40 runs.
But it seemed like the batting lineup of Hong Kong played even better than the experienced batting department of Pakistan in the second group stage match of Asia Cup. Though they couldn’t get to the target but only lost 5 wickets before the tricky bowling attack of the Indian side. As the Hong Kong Skipper invited the Indian team to bat first, the magical knocks from Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli guided the team to a fantastic score of 192/5 (20).
But later as the side of Hong Kong walked into bat a stable gameplay showed by them, although they lost the game as their prime five batters got out but still they were expected to be bundled out very early in the innings. Alongside in the bowling department from India, Avesh Khan again produced worst figures of 1/53 (4-overs). Due to this Twitter slammed him poorly and compared his bowling with Virat Kohli who rolled his arm after 6 long years in international cricket.
Virat Kohli bowling is far far better than Avesh Khan.
Hello @BCCI, ur selection criteria based on IPL or domestic cricket??— Mohsin/मोहसिन 🇮🇳 (@Shaikh_Mohsin12) September 1, 2022
Avesh khan is a good bowler, a youngster & improving all the time. His attitude in the IPL & his skill sets were on display for all to see. With more matches he will only get better..

Gives Avesh some time to settle. He is a class bowler. Don’t judge him after just a few games.
