In what can only be described as a touching moment, the Pakistan Cricket Board shared a video on Twitter showing Indian players approaching Shaheen Afridi, inquiring about his health and sharing some lighthearted moments.
Due to a knee injury, Afridi has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022. He is undergoing rehabilitation but remains with the team ahead of the IND vs PAK match in Dubai, per captain Babar Azam’s wishes.
Yuzvendra Chahal approaches Afridi first, and the two players interact before shaking hands. Then Virat Kohli arrives and spends a long time talking to him about his injury. Then Rishabh Pant and Shaheen Afridi meet and have a good time, as you’d expect from Pant.

Pant can also be seen pointing to Afridi’s injury. Following this, the team’s vice-captain, KL Rahul, shakes hands with Shaheen Afridi and inquires about his injury.
Virat and Rohit demolish bowlers ahead of the Asia Cup
During the practice session, Kohli and Rohit can be seen smashing bowlers left, right, and centre in a video posted by the BCCI on Twitter. One of the video’s highlights is Kohli playing the cover drive in the way that only he can.
Rohit, on the other hand, can be seen pulling and hitting bowlers over their heads with brute force.

Kohli previously stated that he is confident in his ability to recover from the lean period.
“I understand that there will be ups and downs, and when I get out of this phase, I will know how consistent I can be. My memories are sacred to me “Kohli stated this on the Star Sports show “Game Plan.”
He stated that he is confident in his game and that he would not have gotten this far if he did not have the ability to counterattack.
“I know where my game stands, and you can’t progress this far in your international career unless you can counter situations, conditions, and different types of bowling. So, while this is an easier phase for me to process, I don’t want to put it behind me “Kohli stated.
He then discussed how a pattern of dismissals was discovered on that tour and how, after making technical adjustments, he scored nearly 600 runs during the 2018 tour.
“What happened in England was a pattern, so it was something I could work on and something I had to overcome. Right now, as you correctly stated, there is nothing you can point to that indicates a problem is occurring here “Kohli made a point.
Virat’s last international century came in 2019. He’ll be looking to make a strong comeback against Pakistan in their season opener.
