The Lanka Premier League 2024 came to an end with Jaffna Kings becoming the new champions. Galle Marvels posted a total of 184/6 on the board. In reply, Jaffna Kings chased down the total in just 15.4 overs to win the title.
There were several impressive performances in the Lanka Premier League 2024. Here is a list of five players who stood out in the tournament.
1. Rilee Rossouw (Jaffna Kings)
Rilee Rossouw was declared the Player of the Tournament in LPL 2024. He scored a blistering unbeaten century in the final against Galle Marvels to power Jaffna Kings to their fourth LPL title. Rossouw had a terrific campaign as he scored 389 runs from 11 innings at an average of 43.22 at the strike rate of 165.50. He was the second highest run getter of the tournament. His campaign included a couple of hundred.
2. Andre Fletcher (Kandy Falcons)
Opener Andre Fletcher showed consistency with the bat throughout the tournament. He scored 321 runs from 10 matches. His knocks included three half-centuries and scored 20 or more runs three times. He scored at an average 32.10 with the strike rate of 158.12. He smashed 22 sixes, the most by any batter in Lanka Premier League 2024 .

3. Kusal Perera (Dambulla Sixers)
Kusal Perera became a formidable force in the LPL 2024. His strike rate of 169.14 in the competition is the best among the top ten run scorers of the tournament. His unbeaten 102 off 52 balls is the highlight of his campaign. He scored 296 runs from eight matches at an average of 42.28. After being unsold at the LPL auction, Perera proved his critics wrong and impressed everyone with the bat.
4. Isuru Udana (Galle Marvels)
All-rounder Isuru Udana made an impact with both bat and ball. The fast bowler took 14 scalps in Lanka Premier League 2024 with an economy rate of 10.09. Many of his wickets came at the death overs. The 36 year-old scored 126 runs at the strike rate 163.63. Out of the four innings in which he batted, Udana hit two half-centuries, including a knock of 72 off 38.

5. Matheesha Pathirana (Colombo Strikers)
Matheesha Pathirana remained consistent in the tournament and finished by taking 15 wickets from nine matches at an economy rate of 8.33. His campaign included a couple of 4-wicket hauls. Pathirana’s bowling figures in the Lanka Premier League 2024 has been one of the best in the record books of the LPL history.
