Top 10 Most-Watched Cricket Matches

India stands unopposed in terms of breaking the records of the most-watched cricket matches. In 2023, Amazon got its record-breaking biggest viewership by streaming the ODI World Cup held in India. In the T20 World Cup 2024, the USA promoted cricket in their nation by being the host, and many firms started investing in major cricket clubs.

India is present in all of the top 5 most-watched cricket matches, with the 2011 ODI World Cup final, where India faced Sri Lanka, being the highest that had 558 million global viewers. This was the first time that two Asian nations faced each other in the finals. India won the match by 6 wickets and became the first host country to win the cricket World Cup.

It is clearly evident that India guarantees a significant number of viewers in its matches, especially the rivalry between India and Pakistan, which attracts huge numbers when it comes to cricket. Out of the top 5, four matches are between the same rivals, and India won three out of the four of them.

Pakistan is not in good form these days, with a series of consecutive losses in ICC tournaments, including the Champions Trophy 2025, which they hosted and got eliminated after 2 matches. India, on the other end, won the tournament in the final against New Zealand held at the Dubai International Stadium.
