India vs Australia

The Rivalry between India and Australia has become more intense, especially in the longest format of the game with India winning the last three Test series played between the two countries. Having said that the rivalry is no less intense in limited-overs cricket with the wounds of the 2023 ODI World Cup still fresh in the mind of every Indian supporter. Although India has had an upper hand in T20I matches over Australia with the Men in Blue winning the last two series played between the two sides the Rohit Sharma-led side will be aware of Australia’s performance in the last few ICC tournaments and would not take the Aussies lightly.

India vs Bangladesh

Although the rivalry between India and Bangladesh looks heavily tilted in India’s favour as Bangladesh has won just one T20 against the Men in Blue. The numbers don’t do justice to the kind of moments that the rivalry has produced since 2018. It all began with the Nidhas Trophy final held in Sri Lanka which India won after defeating Bangladesh on the last ball of the match courtesy of a flat-six from the bat of Dinesh Karthik. Since then Bangladesh and India have faced off against each other on four occasions with India winning three of those matches.

The Match

Both teams have shown good form in the 2024 T20 World Cup so far. Having said that India holds a slight advantage leading into the match on June 22 as they have been more clinical in all three departments as compared to their opponents who will look to put on a spirited show, especially with the bat against an in-form Indian bowling lineup.

South Africa vs West Indies

The co-host of the T20 World Cup 2024 has been in magnificent form in T20 cricket since 2023 having defeated South Africa, India, and England in the shortest format of the game. The team has a good balance of young and experienced players who are known for their match-winning abilities all around the world and with them playing in their home conditions it will be a huge confidence booster for the West Indies a team that has failed to perform as per expectations in the last few editions of the T20 World Cup.

As far as South Africa is concerned the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup provides the team another opportunity to showcase their capabilities and build on the good form that they have shown in the upcoming matches as well thereby strengthening their chances of making it to the top four.
