
The 37th match of the T20 World Cup tournament is set to take place between Ireland and New Zealand at Adelaide Oval. The match has, however, been scheduled for 4 November 2022.
Team of Ireland
Though the team managed to present an exciting performance at the qualifier rounds, their performance hasn’t been good enough in the tournament. Out of four matches, the team managed to register only one victory. And the team was defeated by Australia in the previous battle, by a margin of around 42 runs. As per reports, the performance of their batting unit struggled to showcase their form, thereby scoring 137 runs.
It was Lorcan Tucker, who came up as the only successful batter from their side, who managed to register 71 runs out of 48 deliveries. Along with him, Gareth Delany scored 14 runs while Paul Stirling and Mark Adair scored 11 runs each.
The bowling unit has been reported to leak 179 runs in 20 overs. From their side, Barry McCarthy was the highest wicket-taker, who managed to pick three wickets in four overs, on being charged for 29 runs. Joshua Little performed well and picked two wickets in four overs against 21 runs.
