Sylhet Strikers is a professional cricket team with home games in Sylhet, Bangladesh. The league in which team competes in the Bangladesh Premier League. 2012 saw the franchise’s debut in the Bangladesh Premier League. The Bangladesh Premier League record of the Sylhet Strikers may be more spectacular. They have never received relief from their stress. Although it has been a league member since its formation in 2012, it did not participate in the 2016 season. However, the records are not yet adequate. Sylhet qualified for the playoffs for the first time in 2013; since then, they have failed to advance past the group stage in the BPL.

They ended last in the table in the previous season, the sixth position overall. Five different names have known the brand since its debut season. Each franchise’s former name was Sylhet Royals, Sylhet Super Stars, Sylhet Sixers, Sylhet Thunder, or Sylhet Sunrisers.

  • The record-breaking score by Sylhet Strikers is the fourth highest in BPL history. It occurred in Chattogram against the Khulna Tigers in 2019. In 20 overs, Sylhet Strikers scored 232 runs for 5. In pursuit of the objective, Khulna lost a wicket to the first delivery they faced. After 18.3 overs, they were bowled out for 152 runs, 80 runs short of victory.
  • In 2017, the Sylhet Strikers scored the second-highest total of the season. It occurred against the Rajshahi Kings in Sylhet’s sixth game of the competition. With 25 not out of 12 balls, Ross Whiteley contributed 42 runs to Sylhet’s score of 205/6. Rajshahi Kings lost with a total score of 172 to 8.
  • In 2019, another season high for the Sylhet Strikers was established in Sylhet. It was the 31st match in the tournament, and they faced the Khulna Titans. Sabbir Rahman and Mohammad Nawaz scored 89 runs in only 39 balls, bringing their team’s total to 195/4. The big aim prevented Khulna from batting for an extended period. They were dismissed for 137 in 18.1 overs, resulting in a loss of 58 runs.
