Suryakumar Looks Ahead to Equalize in Third T20I Against South Africa

India faces a setback in the second T20I against South Africa as rain alters the game, Suryakumar Yadav looks ahead to third T20I to level the series.

India’s skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, conceded a five-wicket defeat to South Africa in the second T20I, acknowledging the Proteas’ impressive batting display in the rain-affected chase. Rain halted India’s innings at 180/7, with Suryakumar contributing a brisk 56, and Rinku Singh delivering a career-best 68 not out off 39 balls. Post a rain delay, South Africa’s revised target of 152 in 15 overs proved to be challenging for India to defend at St George’s Park Stadium.

Reeza Hendricks led the charge for South Africa with a formidable 49, propelling his team to add 54 runs in the first five overs. Despite India making strikes, it wasn’t enough to prevent the hosts from clinching victory. The series now hangs in the balance as India looks to level the scores in the upcoming third T20I at Johannesburg on Thursday.
