
On Thursday, July 18th, England’s star player Stuart Broad was immortalized as the legendary pacer unveiled the new ‘Stuart Broad End’ at Trent Bridge stadium before the start of the second Test match between England and West Indies got underway.
Stuart Broad End Unveiled By Legendary Pacer Ahead Of ENG vs WI 2nd Test
On Wednesday, Trent Bridge‘s official website announced that the pavilion end at the venue will be renamed in honor of the legendary pacer. Fans were asked to arrive early for the event by 10:40 am before the game started.
Stuart Broad was present alongside his father and former England cricketer Chris Broad and the rest of his family at the event. It sounds like Stuart Broad had quite the career in Test cricket! With 604 wickets from 167 matches, he certainly left a significant mark on the sport. Retiring after the Ashes series against Australia must have been a memorable moment for him and his fans.

A day before, Stuart Broad expressed his emotions about getting the pavilion renamed after him. Replying to a tweet, the legendary pacer called the venue one of his favorite places in the world.
“A huge honor at one of my favorite places in the world,” said Broad.

Broad’s father and former cricketer Chris Broad also expressed his feelings by saying: “I’m delighted that the Nottinghamshire Committee decided that Stuart should be remembered in this way. To have an end named after him is a complete delight,” said Chris.
“It was quite surreal, the first time I visited Trent Bridge this year, to hear the announcement that the bowler was bowling from the Stuart Broad End.”
“I took a picture of the scoreboard and sent it to Stuart, and he was a little bit emotional seeing his name up there.”
“I’m so proud and privileged to see him being given that honor.”
