SRH vs PBKS, IPL 2025: The list of Impact Players for the 27th match of IPL 2025 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings has been officially announced. Pat Cummins’ Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) face Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on Saturday, April 12.
SRH vs PBKS, IPL 2025: SRH’s struggles continue in the ongoing season
SRH is struggling in IPL 2025 with four straight losses, sitting at the bottom of the table. Their batting has been poor, especially in the powerplay, and their bowlers have the worst average and one of the highest economy rates.

In contrast, PBKS has consistently won three out of four games. Their Indian players have led the way, with Arshdeep Singh shining in the bowling department. SRH leads the head-to-head with PBKS 16-7 and has lost only once to them at home since 2014.
Playing XIs: One change for SRH, PBKS unchanged
At the toss, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer said that his team has the ability to put up big scores on the board. He said:
“We are going to bat. In the last few games we have batted first, we have the ability to post good scores. We want to play some aggressive cricket, that’s our mindset at the moment. We have seen that we don’t have a fantastic record in the powerplay. We don’t have that thought at the back of our minds. Every individual in our team play their brand of cricket. We got to be top notch, need to back our instincts. We have to keep repeating that again and again. Playing with the same team.”
Meanwhile, SRH captain Pat Cummins said he was okay with losing the toss and mentioned that they had made one change to their playing XI. He said:

“It’s fine. I think we can chase anything. Not an ideal start. But we are training really well. Everyone is in a good space. We have lost a few in a row, but that isn’t ideal. One change. Malinga comes in the side for Kamindu Mendis.”
