
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has unveiled a 16-member squad for the upcoming South Africa women’s tour of West Indies 2025, with the experienced Marizanne Kapp making a much-anticipated return. Kapp, who had taken a break for a structured conditioning program, will rejoin the white-ball squad alongside fast bowlers Tumi Sekhukhune and Ayanda Hlubi.
The white-ball tour includes three ODIs and three T20Is, scheduled to be played in Barbados and other Caribbean venues from June 11 to June 23, 2025.
Emerging Talent: Miane Smit Earns T20I Call-Up
Young all-rounder Miane Smit has been rewarded with T20I selection after a strong performance in the recent ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka and India. A good boost for depth in this squad. However, spinner Seshnie Naidu and left-handed batter Lara Goodall are not part of this assignment.

Coach Mandla Mashimbyi on the Squad and Tour Outlook
Head coach Mandla Mashimbyi expressed enthusiasm for the tour, highlighting its importance for team development and strategic combinations. “It’s an exciting white-ball tour ahead in the West Indies. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the South Africa women’s team to test their skills further,” he said.
Mashimbyi also shared optimism regarding the returning players: “I’m thrilled to have Marizanne, Sekhukhune, and Ayanda Hlubi back. Their energy and experience can be game-changers.”
Reflecting on the team’s last tour, he added, “The Sri Lanka series was challenging, but we learned a lot. We’ve identified areas to improve, and the team is working hard to be ready for the Caribbean.”
