Bangladesh made a dominating all-round effort to tie up the SL vs BAN T20I series 1-1, comprehensively beating Sri Lanka by a whopping 83 runs at Colombo. From being reduced to 7/2 in the early stages, skipper Litton Das led the resurgence with an exemplary 76, while Rishad Hossain’s 3-wicket destruction wrapped up the hosts’ fate in a thrilling collapse.
Litton Das Leads Bangladesh Revival After Early Loss

The opposition was in trouble right from the start, losing both the openers Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hasan, within the first two overs. Nuwan Thushara and Binura Fernando bowled a tight spell to leave Bangladesh tottering at 7 for 2.
But Towhid Hridoy started the counterattack with a boundary and a six off Dasun Shanaka. Litton Das, who had a scratchy beginning, got his groove back, hitting a straight six to finish the powerplay 39/2. He went on to hammer Shanaka and lifted the 50-run mark to the 9th over.
Despite a mid-innings stutter, including the quick dismissals of Hridoy and Mehidy Hasan Miraz by Fernando, Bangladesh regained momentum thanks to Shammim Hossain. Together, Litton and Shammim accelerated the innings with a flurry of boundaries. Das brought up his 12th T20I fifty, and the pair added crucial late-over fireworks.
Litton ultimately fell to 76, and Shammim was run out on 48, one short of a hard-earned half-century. Despite two late run-outs, Bangladesh reached a competitive 177/7, with the final 10 overs producing 108 runs.
Sri Lanka Batting Collapses in Stunning Upset

Chasing 178, Sri Lanka started hard, running to 19 off 10 balls. But Shammim Hossain turned things around by a direct-hit run-out of Kusal Mendis, starting a top-order collapse.
Shoriful Islam hit twice in rapid succession, knocking over Kusal Perera and Avishka Fernando, while Mohammad Saifuddin sent captain Charith Asalanka packing. Sri Lanka lost four important wickets by the end of the powerplay.
Pathum Nissanka, who was at the non-striker’s end with 32 runs, was caught by leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, who then removed Chamika Karunaratne in the same over. The tail did not put up much fight as Mehidy Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, and Saifuddin mopped up the rest.
Rishad wrapped up the convincing performance by stumping Binura Fernando, as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 94 in 15.2 overs.
