
The 22-year old Indian opener Shubhman Gill surpassed the great Sachin Tendulkar in the context of this huge record which great batters of the country like Ambati Rayudu and Yuvraj Singh had set, before Gill thrashed them all in his single knock.
Shubhman Gill is a very special batsman for India, he made his debut in the international cricket in 2019 just after his name got renowned as a classy batsman when the Indian U-19 team won the U-19 World Cup of 2019. But his exact contender Prithvi Shaw who is also an intrigue opener went past Gill initially after hitting some majestic knocks in his initial games.
But later his batting form started to get pale which is the reason why Shubhman Gill is tried out by the Indian team again and after getting failed in a couple of initial innings, he banged a fantastic centurion knock of 130(97) against Zimbabwe in the third ODI game of the series.

In the third one day, Indian team finished on 289/8 after their 50 overs of quota were completed. Gill along with the youngster Ishan Kishan came out as the heroes of the first half and it would be interesting to see whether Indian bowlers will get successful in defending 290 against Zimbabwe.
