Shreyas Iyer captains Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Shaw also included in the team, Rahane and Shardul Thakur are also part of Mumbai’s 17-member team
Shreyas Iyer will be captain of the 17-man Mumbai team which has been announced for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT), which is scheduled to take place from 23 November to 15 December. There is Prithvi Shaw as well who has returned to the side after being left out of the Ranji side on grounds of discipline and fitness issues.

Apart from this, Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur have also been included in the team. Tanush Kotian, who has been included in the India A team for the unofficial Test played in Australia has also been selected in the team.
Iyer has been in form since the Ranji season and is waiting for a comeback in the Indian team. Iyer has scored 452 runs at an average of 90.40 with the help of two centuries in this Ranji season. Iyer scored 233 runs off 228 balls against Odisha and 142 runs off 190 balls against Maharashtra.
