On the third day of the ongoing second Test match between England and the West Indies at Trent Bridge, fans only missed getting hurt after Shamar Joseph’s massive six-shoot caused tiles to fall.
Shamar Joseph’s Six Sends Tiles Crashing, Fans Unharmed
The incident took place when West Indies batter Shamar Joseph faced Gus Atkinson in the 107th over of their inning. Shamar smashed a six off the second ball of the over. Joseph followed up with a dot ball before hitting another huge six off Atkinson with a forceful pull stroke.
Atkinson bowled a short ball, and Shamar Joseph’s posture indicated he anticipated it. Joseph produced an immense pull shot with quick reflexes that sent the ball flying for a huge six-back square. Several tiles that fell were broken as the ball struck the roof. Luckily, the tiles did not fall on any onlookers.

Talking about the game, the West Indies batters stole the show with their brilliant batting display in the ongoing Test match against England. The Windies suffered a humiliating defeat by an innings in the first Test match due to their batter’s poor performance, however, they have now made a stunning turnaround in the ongoing 2nd Test match.
In response, the West Indies batsmen performed admirably, amassing 457 runs in their first innings to surpass England’s 416 score and take a 41-run lead. At 84 for 3, they had a rough start to the second day.
But a fantastic combination of 175 runs between Alick Athanaze and Kavem Hodge saved them. Athanaze made 82 runs before being out, and Hodge went on to make an outstanding century, finishing with 120 runs. Joshua Da Silva’s flawless 82-run performance on day three contributed to the West Indies’ advantage. Shamar Joseph made a substantial contribution as well, scoring 33 runs with two sixes and five fours.
After winning the first Test by an innings and 114 runs, England is now ahead in the series.
