Shahid Afridi Signs On Indian Flag For A Fan During Legends League Cricket, See Viral Video

Asia Lions have advanced to the final of the Legends League Cricket, where they will face World Giants on Monday.

Asia Lions defeated India Maharajas on Saturday by an impressive 85-run margin in the Elimination round of the Legends League Cricket match. The Shahid Afridi-led team batted first and recorded a total of 191/5 in 20 overs after Upul Tharanga hammered 50 off 31 balls and Mohammad Hafeez hit 38 off 24 balls. Subsequently, Sohail Tanvir, Abdur Razzak, and Hafeez each took two wickets as the Maharajas were dismissed for 106. Apart from taking his team to the tournament final, Afridi captivated millions of hearts with his kind gesture towards a fan.

A fan approached Afridi and requested for an autograph on the Indian flag, according to a video shared on Cricket Pakistan’s Twitter account. The former Pakistan captain held the India flag politely and signed his autograph for the admirer, who returned with a smile on his face.

The video quickly went viral on social media, with fans left speechless by Afridi’s kind gesture.

In terms of the contest, India Maharajas fell short by 85 runs since none of the batters reached the 40-run threshold. Gautam Gambhir led the way with 32 runs off 17 balls.

Earlier, Stuart Binny and Pragyan Ojha each took two wickets, while Pravin Tambe took one.

Following this victory, Asia Lions have advanced to the Legends League Cricket final, where they will face World Giants on Monday.
