
SA vs WI: The South African cricket team has announced playing XI for the first Test match against the West Indies. The test match is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7th at Port of Spain in Trinidad. Tristan Stubbs will debut in the longest format for the South African team, while the Windies have opted for only two pacers – Lungi Ngidi and Kagiso Rabada.
South Africa last toured the West Indies for Test matches in 2021 and won both of them hosted by Gros Islet. Windies won the opening Test by an innings and 63 runs and the second game by 158 runs.

Temba Bavuma and his squad have also not played Tests since January when they hosted the Indian cricket team for a two-match Test series.

Earlier West Indies also announced their Test team for the upcoming series against South Africa. Justin Greaves, Jomel Warrican, and uncapped Bryan Charles have been included in the South Africa Tests as they were not a part of the England series.
Meanwhile, West Indies are coming into the series with a 3-0 series defeat on English soil and will inevitably face a strong Proteas side. Joshua Da Silva, Alick Athanaze, Kavem Hodge, and Jayden Seales are some of the names to watch out for in the upcoming SA vs WI Test series.
