The list of impact players for the 50th match of IPL 2025 between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) has been announced.
The match is being played on Thursday, May 1, at the Rajasthan Royals’ home ground, Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) will once again be without their regular captain Sanju Samson, who is out due to a side strain. His absence opened the door for 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who impressed by smashing the fastest IPL century by an Indian in the last match against Gujarat Titans.

Suryavanshi will be a key threat again, but this time he faces a strong Mumbai Indians (MI) pace attack featuring Jasprit Bumrah, Deepak Chahar, and Trent Boult.
RR can take confidence from their strong home record against MI, having won the last five games in Jaipur. However, MI are in great form, riding a five-match winning streak. Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Jasprit Bumrah are all performing well, while Will Jacks has started contributing too.
Historically, MI slightly edge the head-to-head with 15 wins to RR’s 14, but RR have won 6 of the 8 matches at home.
IPL 2025 Toss Update: RR Opt to Bowl First, MI Also Prefer Chasing
At the toss, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag mentioned that they would bowl first due to the dew factor in the second innings. He also confirmed that Kumar Kartikeya and Akash Madhwal would be included in the playing XI, replacing Wanindu Hasaranga and Sandeep Sharma. He said:

“We’ll bowl first. We might see some dew later.”
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya stated that the Mumbai Indians also wanted to bowl first. He said:
“We would’ve bowled first as well. Quite confident about batting on this wicket.”
