Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) have announced their list of impact players for the 47th match of IPL 2025.
The match is being played on Monday, April 28, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, with Riyan Parag leading RR and Shubman Gill captaining GT.
Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) have had very different IPL 2025 seasons. GT are close to making the playoffs with 6 wins from 8 games, while RR are nearly out of the race with just 2 wins in 9 matches.

RR now need to win all their remaining games to stay in the fight, like Royal Challengers Bengaluru did last season. But their chances are slim, as they haven’t found the right team balance, and many players are out of form.
RR will depend a lot on Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is just 37 runs away from 2000 IPL runs, and Jofra Archer to perform well. A loss here could end their playoff hopes.
Meanwhile, GT has one of the best bowling attacks this season. Even though Rashid Khan hasn’t been at his best, Prasidh Krishna is in great form, Mohammed Siraj is strong in the powerplay, and Sai Kishore has been the standout spinner.
In batting, GT’s top three, Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler, are averaging 53.9, the highest this season. The strong top-order has kept the middle-order untested, but they have talented players who can step up when needed.
In head-to-head matchups, Gujarat Titans dominate Rajasthan Royals with a 6-1 record and have also won both their matches in Jaipur.
At the toss, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag mentioned that the pitch was quite good with low bounce. He said:

“We’ll bowl first. Pretty similar wicket to the one we played against LSG.”
On the other hand, Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill also felt the surface looked good but added they would have preferred to bowl first. He stated:
“Would’ve bowled first as well. But it looks like a good wicket.”
