RR vs GT, IPL 2023: Hardik Pandya Sledges Sanju Samson, RR Captain Responds In Style

Hardik Pandya appeared to try to sledge Sanju Samson in a video that has leaked on social media, but the latter kept his cool and diffused the situation.

On Sunday, the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) met at the famous Narendra Modi Stadium in a rematch of last year’s IPL final. It was also a battle between two teams who finished first and second in the Indian Premier League in 2023. It was a feast of excellent duels between some celebrity cricketers, with two strong sides battling it out against each other. It was Hardik Pandya against Yuzvendra, Sanju Samson vs Rashid Khan, and many other exciting clashes.

Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya attempted to play mind games with opponent captain Sanju Samson during the second innings. Pandya was spotted speaking to Sanju as Shami walked back to his bowling mark. But the RR captain remained silent and later responded in style with his bat. The footage of Sanju Samson slamming Rashid Khan all over the park went viral.

Rajasthan Royals  were in grave trouble after losing Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler cheaply, behind by four wickets and with only 66 runs on the board. Shimron Hetmyer and Sanju Samson formed an aggressive connection that propelled RR back into the game.

It’s unusual to witness Rashid Khan hammered for three consecutive maximums in a cricket game, so Samson was at his best. Samson strolled back to the pavilion after scoring 60 points on 32 attempts, but Hetmyer kept the Royals in the game. The Rajasthan Royals won their first game against the Gujarat Titans thanks to some help from R Ashwin and Dhruv Jurel. With four wins from five games, the Royals have risen to the top of the points standings.
