Rohit Sharma Is Shaken But KL Rahul Supportive Of Indian Bowling

Indian vice-captain thinks bowlers will put on a better show in the ICC T20 World Cup

India opener KL Rahul played down the concerns regarding the bowling of Team India. This was after South Africa staged a fightback after India scored 237 on the second T20I. Rahulโ€™s words are of crucial relevance as heโ€™s the vice-captain of the team. South Africa scored 221/3 in reply to the hosts’ 237/3 in 20 overs. They also hit 227/3 in the Third T20I in Indore.

The Karnataka cricketer said India would not have many games if it was such a big concern. He added they want to keep getting better as a team. Indian opener admitted the bowlers couldnโ€™t execute seven out of ten balls, but affirmed faith that India will get better at it very soon. He also recalled that India restricted the Proteas to 106 on the first T20I in Thiruvananthapuram.

Rohit Sharma is taken aback, KL Rahul hopefulย

A visibly shaken Rohit Sharma looked frustrated in the field. He set various plans, but it all didnโ€™t work out well, as South Africans made light of the Indian bowling. Rohitโ€™s reactions were shared by several users of social media. The Indian bowlers went for a toss, bowling many full-tosses while attempting to bowl yorkers.ย

This leaves the team management in a fix because the T20 World Cup is fast approaching. Australian pitches are likely to assist the batters, and with Bumrah and Jadeja already out, Indian bowlers do not look threatening.

Their recent shows with the ball have put them on one of the forgettable records, as they conceded back-to-back scores of 200.ย However, KL Rahul said the team will learn from the mistakes and do better in the World Cup.

Can India bounce back?

Indian bowlers must have to alter their length and adjust to the Aussie conditions to put on a better show in the ICC T20 World Cup. In the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, it was the bowlers who led the Indian juggernaut before falling out in the semifinal.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Arshdeep Singh, Harshal Patel, Axar Patel and R Ashwin will have a bigger responsibility as the T20 World Cup starts on October 16.
