World Champions – India Received A Hero Welcome At Airport

Indian captain Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, and star batter Suryakumar Yadav danced their hearts out with the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy and gold medals around their necks as they reached the Indira Gandhi Airport on Thursday.

Vice-captain Hardik Pandya, who played an instrumental role in India’s victory in the final clash, emerged first wearing a Caribbean hat and was welcomed with chants. The crowd present at the venue went berserk as captain Rohit Sharma came out carrying the gorgeous trophy of the World Cup 2024, which he hoisted into the air.

Superstar batter Virat Kohli, whose hometown is Delhi, received the loudest cheers from the fans. The team eventually left the airport in the team buses, with a caravan of police cars with wailing sirens. Team India’s next destination was the ITC Maurya Hotel, where special arrangements were made to welcome the World Champions.
