In another commanding display in the Ranji Trophy 2025, Shams Mulani produced a brilliant five-wicket haul as Mumbai registered a resounding innings and 120-run victory over Himachal Pradesh at home.
Himachal, resuming Day 3 at 94 for 7 in their first innings, were eventually bowled out for 187, thanks to fighting half-centuries from Nikhil Gangta and Vaibhav Arora. Forced to follow on, the visitors could only muster 139 in their second innings as Mulani’s regular breakthroughs sealed Mumbai’s second win of the season in emphatic fashion.
Gujarat Secure First Win of the Season- Ranji Trophy 2025
It was a day of outright results across venues as Gujarat defeated Services by six wickets in Nadiad. A total of 20 wickets fell on Day 3 of the match, which saw Siddharth Desai play a starring role for Gujarat.
His five-wicket haul helped restrict Services to 248 in the first innings. Later, Desai took 4-44 and Vishal Jayswal 6-59 as Services were bowled out for 125 in their second innings. Gujarat reached the 118-run target in 21.2 overs to post their first win of the season.
Jagadeesha Suchith Shines as Uttarakhand Crushes Haryana
In Rohtak, Jagadeesha Suchith starred in an all-round match-winning performance for Uttarakhand, who beat Haryana by an innings and 28 runs. Starting the day at 105 for 6, Haryana were dismissed for 148. Suchith completed match figures of 11 wickets (6/56 and 5/27) and also contributed a crucial half-century with the bat, making it a memorable outing for the left-arm spinner.
Uttar Pradesh Thrash Nagaland with Twin Fifers
At Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh produced a clinical performance to defeat Nagaland by an innings and 265 runs. After posting a mammoth 535 for 6 declared, the UP bowlers took charge Shivam Mavi and Shivam Sharma, both returning with five wickets apiece, ran through Nagaland’s batting in both innings.
Fresh off his maiden century, Mavi again starred with the ball, while Sharma wrapped up the second innings to hand UP one of their biggest victories of the season.
Andhra Edge Tamil Nadu in Tight Contest
In Vizag, Andhra defeated Tamil Nadu by four wickets to notch up an important win. Offspinner Saurabh Kumar’s four-wicket haul helped Andhra bowl TN out for 195 after they resumed at 102 for 3.
Chasing 201, Abhishek Reddy and Karan Shinde scored fifties to guide Andhra to 162 for 6 before Ashwin Hebbar and Kalidindi Raju saw them home. For TN, R Sai Kishore and P Vidyuth picked up five wickets between them, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a fourth straight winless outing.
Punjab Cruise Past Chandigarh Thanks to Uday Saharan Century
At Chandigarh, Uday Saharan guided Punjab to an eight-wicket victory with an unbeaten 117. Aayush Goyal and Harpreet Brar shared seven wickets as Chandigarh was bowled out for 195 earlier in the day. In reply, Punjab lost two quick wickets while chasing 227 before Saharan and Jashanpreet Singh steered them home for their first win after three consecutive draws.
Sarwate and Chhattisgarh Dominate Puducherry
While in Raipur, Aditya Sarwate starred with six wickets in the match as Chhattisgarh trounced Puducherry by 10 wickets. Puducherry, resuming at 108 for 2 on Day 3, folded up for 205 in their first innings, following it up with 175 in the second. Chhattisgarh needed only four runs to win, which they reached without fuss for their first victory of the season.

Dhruv Shorey and Aman Mokhade Power Vidarbha
At Nagpur, Dhruv Shorey struck his second century of the match and Aman Mokhade also scored a ton as Vidarbha took control against Odisha. Declaring at 218 for 2, Vidarbha set a target of 345, with Odisha 44 for 0 at stumps.
Chirag Jani Leads Saurashtra Fightback
In Mangalapuram, Chirag Jani’s unbeaten 152 anchored the Saurashtra second innings as they reached 351 for 5 against Kerala, going ahead by 278. Arpit Vasavada (74) and Prerak Mankad (52)* contributed importantly in that effort.
Baroda Struggle Despite Rawat’s Century
Shashwat Rawat’s century in Vadodara was ably assisted by Vishnu Solanki and Mitesh Patel but Baroda fell short of Jharkhand’s 506 by being dismissed for 291.
Sahil Raj and Rishav Raj picked up four wickets each before Baroda were reduced to 10 for 1 in their follow-on.

Karnataka Gain Edge Against Maharashtra While in Pune, Shreyas Gopal (4 wickets) and Mohsin Khan (3 wickets) first restricted Maharashtra to 300 to give Karnataka a slender lead.
An unbeaten 64 by Mayank Agarwal guided Karnataka to 144 for 5 by stumps, increasing their lead to 157. Bengal Dominate Railways Thanks to Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal’s 4 wickets, bowled Railways out for 222 despite Bhargav Merai (91) and Upendra Yadav (70) putting in their best efforts. Asked to follow on, Railways were 90 for 5 at stumps, with Rahul Prasad and Shahbaz Ahmed taking two wickets each.
