Rachin Ravindra is a young batsman for the New Zealand National Cricket Team, who has been exceptional in batting ever since he made his international debut. He etched his name in history in the sixth match of the ICC Champions Trophy against Bangladesh.
He came in to bat at a crucial time after New Zealand was suffering from Will Young and Kane Williamson’s dismissal and proved his worth once again, that too on his debut in the tournament.
Rachin originally made it to the Playing XI after replacing Daryl Mitchell, who could not play due to an illness and proved his worth by scoring a century on his debut. He was dismissed at 112 runs in 105 balls and broke as many records as you can keep count of.

He became the first player to score a century on both the World Cup and Champions Trophy debut. He now holds the record for the most hundreds by a New Zealand player in the ICC ODI tournaments by marking his fourth century in yesterday’s game. He also became the fourth fastest to 1000 ODI runs for New Zealand.
That’s not it. He now holds the record for most hundreds at the age of 25 in ICC tournaments surpassing Sachin Tendulkar, who holds three centuries. He became the youngest New Zealand player to score a century in the ICC Champions Trophy, and he’s the only player to score the Century Century at the age of 25 in both the World Cup and Champions Trophy after Sachin Tendulkar.
Rachin Ravindra Gets Applauded

The New Zealand team’s captain, Mitchell Santner, said post-match in his appreciation, ” He’s doing Rachin things I guess. He loves ICC events. Looks like he never left the game. He wasn’t as fluid as he’d have liked but when he gets going he’s tough to stop. His partnerships were good too,”
The official X handle of the New Zealand team, Blackcaps also took to their social media account and wrote, “Another ICC ODI event, another century for Rachin Ravindra! At the age of just 25, he has now scored more centuries at ICC ODI events (4) than any other New Zealand men’s player”
