Finally the wait of 71st international century of Virat Kohli ended in the 4th game of (Super 4) qualification stage where India and Afghanistan contended against each other at the venue of Sharjah cricket stadium, in the game Afghanistan skipper Mohammed Nabi opted to bowl first by winning the toss for the team, but nobody expected that Virat Kohli is going to wreak havoc in the game.
This time he came to open the innings with captain KL Rahul as Rohit Sharma was not playing the game and reached to the sublime figures of 122*(61), along with him KL Rahul also made a half century which resulted into 100+ opening partnership between these two stars.
India put a mammoth total of 212/2 (20.0) for Afghanistan, while as the opposition batters walked out to bat in the second innings, another majestic performance was given by Bhuvneshwar Kumar as he picked up his very fast five wicket haul in T20 cricket along with making the best T20I figures of his career i.e 5/4 (4-overs). Afghanistan also produced their worst ever figures by losing 5 wickets in the first 6 overs at the end Rashid Khan and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman along with Ibrahim Zadran reached their scoreboard up to 111/8 (20.0).
At the end there was a quest between Virat Kohli and Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the man of the match award but putting the importance of Kohli’s knock over Bhuvi’s the player of the match award given to him.
