On Thursday, May 8, an Indian drone struck the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium. The stadium was scheduled to host a match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings on that day.

Following recent developments, all remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches have been moved to Karachi. Despite the tensions, the league will proceed, and the games will take place according to the original schedule.

Peshawar Zalmi vs Karachi Kings Match Called Off

The match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings has been called off, but the rest of the PSL 2025 games will go ahead as planned. The decision came after an emergency meeting in Lahore, attended by PSL officials and law enforcement. Karachi was chosen as the safest venue to avoid disruptions.

As for the league, Quetta Gladiators are leading the points table with 6 wins from 9 matches, while Karachi Kings follow with 5 wins in 8 games. Multan Sultans are struggling, with only 1 win from 9 matches, and will now aim to finish the season on a positive note.

In PSL 2025, Mohammad Rizwan is the top run-scorer with 363 runs, followed by S Farhan with 321 runs. Abbas Afridi leads the wicket-taking charts with 15 wickets, while Jason Holder is second with an equal number of wickets.
