PBKS vs KKR, IPL 2025: Kolkata Knight Riders made two changes for their match against Punjab Kings at Eden Gardens on Saturday, April 26. Rovman Powell is making his debut, replacing Moeen Ali. Chetan Sakariya has also been added to the team. Meanwhile, Punjab Kings have brought Glenn Maxwell back into their playing XI.
Powell, who was recently the captain of the West Indies T20I team, was given his cap before the match. He is known for his powerful hitting and has scored 360 runs in 27 games, including one half-century, with a strike rate of 147.54.
Powell has been added to the KKR team because their middle-order batters have been struggling with form this season.
Rinku Singh and Andre Russell haven’t been able to finish games well for KKR. The team also dropped Ramandeep Singh because he has been out of form. For PBKS, Maxwell and Azmatullah Omarzai have been added to the team, while Marcus Stoinis and Xavier Bartlett were dropped for the match against KKR. Maxwell has struggled with the bat too, scoring only 41 runs in 6 matches.
PBKS won the toss and opted to bat first at the Eden Gardens.
