The India vs England match will be played today on a slow surface in Lucknow. Both the teams are in second and ninth position respectively. On one hand, India has remained unbeaten in this World Cup so far, while on the other hand, this World Cup of defending champions England have been very disappointing so far. England has won only one of its five matches till now. India has chased the target in all its matches so far. This shows that the bowling of the Indian team has been much better so far in this World Cup, whereas England has been weak in almost all areas. It will be interesting to see what kind of performance the Indian team, which has won all its matches, shows against England, and on the other hand, will England be able to make a comeback against India?
So far, 104 ODI matches have been played between the two countries where India has a lead of 57–44 over England. Both teams have always been dependent on their batsmen to a great extent, so it will be interesting to know which bowlers have performed the best in this rivalry so far.

James Anderson, one of the greatest bowlers of the modern era, has taken the most wickets in this list. He has taken 40 wickets in 31 matches between 2003 and 2015, in the 2015 India tour of England at Brisbane he delivered an excellent spell of 4-18 which is his best bowling figures against India. Anderson is England’s most successful ODI and Test bowler, with 269 wickets in 194 ODI matches. In tests he has 690 wickets which is the highest for England in tests. If James was still playing for the ODI team he would’ve gone so far in terms of wickets.
