
Nicola Jane Carey (born 10 September 1993) is an Australian cricketer who performs as an all-rounder for the national squad, batting left-handed and bowling right-arm medium pace. She represents Tasmania in the Women’s National Cricket League and the Hobart Hurricanes in the Women’s Big Bash League. Until 2019, she represented the New South Wales Breakers and the Sydney Thunder in those two major tournaments.
Carey was a part of the Southern Stars team that captured the ICC World Twenty20 title in Sri Lanka in 2012. Carey played in two ICC World Twenty20s, in 2012 and 2016. On March 12, 2018, she crafted her Women’s One Day International (WODI) breakthrough for Australia Women against India Women. In the 2017-18 India Women’s Tri-Nation Series, she crafted her Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) cameo for Australia Women against England Women on March 23, 2018.
