In the history of ODI cricket, both these teams come in fourth place in the list of teams winning the most matches consecutively. Both these teams won 13-13 matches consecutively. Playing under this campaign, the Australian team won its first (ODI Cricket) match against the Indian team. At that time the captain of the Australian team was Ricky Ponting.
While the Australian team got its 13th win on 19 February 2010 against West Indies. Apart from this, the Sri Lankan team did this feat in the year 2023. At that time the captain of the Sri Lankan team was Dasun Shanaka.
